Rates & Government Rent

Thank you for your interest in our Electronic Submission of Forms service. The following types of forms are currently available for electronic submission.

Form No. Form Type Use
e-R1A Requisition for Particulars of Tenements (Applicable to properties already included in the current Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll) For rating and valuation purposes, requisition forms are issued from time to time to obtain up-to-date information relating to tenements. Payers receiving a hard copy of the requisition form may choose to complete and return this e-Form within 21 DAYS from the date of issue of the requisition form received. Owners or occupiers may also retrieve an e-R1A of their tenement for completion and submission at any time.
e-R1C Requisition for Particulars of Tenements (Applicable to newly-completed built properties or properties not yet included in the current Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll) For rating and valuation purposes, requisition forms are issued to obtain information from owners or occupiers of new tenements which are to be assessed to rates and/or Government rent for the first time, where the flats or units have been sold individually. Owners or occupiers receiving a hard copy of the requisition form may choose to complete and return this e-Form within 28 DAYS from the date of issue of the requisition form received.
e-R20A Proposal for Alteration of Valuation List or Government Rent Roll For properties already assessed to rates and/or Government rent, the payer may object to the new rateable value following a revaluation in the form of a "proposal" by submitting this e-Form. However, please note that this e-Form is available only in late March to end of May each year.
e-R23A Notice of Objection to an Interim Valuation For properties assessed for the first time or re-assessed to rates and/or Government rent, the assessment is notified to the payer by means of a Notice of Interim Valuation (Form R6). The payer may lodge a formal objection to the interim valuation by submitting this e-Form within 28 DAYS after the service of the Notice of Interim Valuation (Form R6).
e-R23B Notice of Objection to a Deletion from the Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll A property assessed to rates and/or Government rent may be deleted from the Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll. A proposed deletion is notified to the payer by means of a Notice of Deletion (Form R5). The payer may lodge a formal objection to the proposed deletion by submitting this e-Form within 28 DAYS after the service of the Notice of Deletion (Form R5).
e-R23C Notice of Objection to a Correction to the Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll A property assessed to rates and/or Government rent may have its entry in the Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll corrected. A proposed correction is notified to the payer by means of a Notice of Correction (Form R2). The payer may lodge a formal objection to the proposed correction by submitting this e-Form within 28 DAYS after the service of the Notice of Correction (Form R2).
e-CR109 Notice of New Letting or Renewal Agreement This should only be used for a DOMESTIC tenancy or sub-tenancy falling within Part IV of the Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) Ordinance. Unless the Commissioner of Rating and Valuation has endorsed such a notice, the landlord or principal tenant shall not be entitled to maintain an action to recover rents under the relevant tenancy agreement.
